    Tendering Engineer - Protection and Automation

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled Tendering Engineer to join our Smart Infrastructure Energy Automation team in Abu Dhabi. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and executing tenders for Substation Automation & Protection projects.

    Your Role – International, Challenging And Future-Oriented

    • Responsible for tenders for EA protection and automation portfolio
    • Prepare Cost estimate, submit quotations, follow-up quotation with customers, negotiate contract and hand order over to execution team
    • Think outside the box within the customer requirements / specifications and to come up with most optimize technical and commercial solution giving Siemens competitive edge over competition

    Key Activities

    • Understanding customer requirements for Substation Automation Systems based on RFQ and control the bid process from offer preparation until conclusion
    • Conceptualizing the system / solution architecture to suite customer requirements
    • Estimation of bill of material and preparation of technical proposal
    • Review and optimization of offered solution from technical & commercial perspective
    • Effectively obtain, develop, and communicate technical information to both suppliers and customers regarding scopes of supply and services (internal as well as external)
    • Discussion / negotiation with vendors / SCM team to estimate / optimize bought outs
    • Management of the bid preparation process as per Siemens business process, e.g. PM@Siemens and LoA
    • Discussion of the proposal with customer leading to technical qualification
    • Preparation of customized bid documentation as well as a competitive cost and price calculation under consideration of the target price
    • Handing over of Project to execution team after contracting

    Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid

    • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
    • More than 3 years of relevant experience
    • In depth knowledge of SCS, IPCS, FMS and protection
    • Team player and highly motivated individual
    • English fluency
