    To lead, in conjunctionwith the Wealth and Personal Banking ExCo, the development of theWealth and Personal Banking risk appetite

    • To lead and deliver on Risk Analyticsenabling desirable business outcomes
    • Ensurethat top risks are appropriately highlighted in the MENAT RMM, aswell as EMEA WPB RMM, and that these risks are being appropriatelymanaged. Guide Europe WPB Risk Lead on inputs to the EuropeRMM
    • Develop and ensure implementation of anadequate framework to identify emerging risk issues, and thatmitigating strategies are implemented
    • Ensurethat adequate stress scenarios specific to Wealth and PersonalBanking are considered to help understand downside risksensitivities
    • Ensure effective relationshipswith the MENAT regulators for WPB Risk related matters, act as aguide to the Europe WPB Risk Lead on reg matters whererequired
    • Accountable for the oversight of therisk management framework to enhance, standardise and integrate thevarious risk activities & capabilities including theimplementation of strategic projects andsystems.
    • Lead MENAT WPB Risk that is consideredindustry leading and fit for purpose underpinned by an appropriategovernance infrastructure.
    • Exercise active riskmanagement for WPB Risk. Define guardrail credit performanceparameters that are monitored in credit performance dashboards forthe identification of early warningsignals.
    • Ensure effective management of IFRS9implementation and compliance, model management (e.g. creditscorecards, BASEL and IFRS9 models), forecasting activities, andstress testing
    • Provide effective oversight forAM, Insurance and Private Bank & Wealth Risk activities inMENAT.
    • Effectively manage the controlenvironment within the MENAT WPB Riskfunction.
    • Maintain cost discipline and achieveefficiencies where appropriate for MENAT WPB Risk and supportswider cost initiatives in the Group
    • Act inaccordance with HSBC's purpose and values, being cognisantof all applicable local legal, fiscal, regulatory and shareholderrequirements as they relate to HSBC.
    • Foster astrong risk and control culture, including ensuring adequatemanagement focus and demonstrative "tone from thetop"
