    Senior Legal CounselInternational

    Because of growthand ambition, Robert Walters is assisting Laborie in their searchfor a Senior Legal Counsel, with an internationalfocus.

    The Senior Legal Counsel will assistthe General Counsel in providing legal, compliance, privacy andcompany secretary support across the Laborie group corporations,with particular emphasis on European and APAC entities andbusinesses.

    • You willprovide legal counsel and guidance on a wide range of corporate andcommercial matters to Laborie group corporations, boards &management, particularly those based in Europe and APAC , includingcontract negotiations, regulatory compliance, employment lawsupport, and litigation.
    • You will identify andassess legal risks associated with business initiatives and proposestrategies to mitigate these riskseffectively.
    • You will ensure thecompany's operations comply with applicable laws andregulations, including but not limited to healthcare regulations,data protection & security, and industry-specificstandards. Includes overseeing HCP payment reporting requirementsin Europe and APAC and assist in managing compliance and privacyprograms.
    • You will maintain corporate books andrecords for Europe and APAC entities. Administer appointments ofofficers and directors. Administer authority delegations. Manageregistered agent relationships. Coordinate with IAB and PI asdirected.
    • You will review, draft, and negotiatecontracts with customers, suppliers, and partners, ensuring thatcontractual terms align with the company's objectives andlegal requirements.
    • You will collaborateclosely with commercial leaders and cross-functional teams to alignlegal strategies with business objectives and foster a proactivelegal culture within the organization.
    • You willcreate/conduct training sessions and provide legal education tointernal stakeholders to increase awareness of legal and compliancematters.
    • You will stay up-to-date with changesin relevant laws and regulations, assess their impact on thecompany, and develop strategies forcompliance.
    • You will assist in managing andresolving legal disputes, including liaising with external legalcounsel when necessary.
    • You will prepare andsubmit regular reports on legal and compliance activities to theGeneral Counsel or designee and business leadership.

    Profile Senior LegalCounsel

    • University Degree in Law from anaccredited (preferably European) Lawschool.
    • You have a license to practice law inone or more European jurisdictions, with a strong preference forexperience in multiple jurisdictions.
    • You havea minimum of 6 years of legal experience, with a significantportion gained in a corporate legal environment, ideally within themedical device or healthcare industry.
    • You have(or willing to obtain) an in-depth knowledge of European andinternational healthcare regulations, data protection laws, andindustry standards.
    • You have strong contractnegotiation and drafting skills, with the ability to providepractical, business-oriented legal advice.
    • Youare flexible, organised and performance focused, tactical andstrategic thinker.
    • You have exceptionalcommunication, presentation and interpersonal skills, enablingeffective collaboration with diverse teams andstakeholders.
    • You have a proven ability to workindependently and on own initiative and to take pro-active andinnovative approach to managing complex legal matters whilecontributing to a cohesive legal team.
    • Youbring strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate legal issuesand provide proactive solutions.
    • Fluency inEnglish is required; proficiency in other European languages is aplus.
    • You are willing to travel as needed tosupport the company's regional and global legalneeds.
