Description

The purpose of this job is to be part of Istituto Marangoni teachers' education team, teaching on a range of BA and MA courses in the field of Fashion Collection Merchandising.

As teacher, you'll also be involved in wider enterprise, course administration, scholarship and research developments in your area of expertise.

You'll use this activity in your teaching and in supporting educational partners to develop research-engaged practice.


Key purpose of the job

Teaching Activities:


Students' Academic Support:


R&D Activities - Promote and develop the R&D activities assigned by the Director of Education. Support the R&D of the School and the connection with other scientific partner


Industry Project - Initiate & foster engagement with relevant industries, organizations and professional bodies to develop opportunities for the School in the field.


Educational and Professional Requirements

  • Based in Dubai UAE, preferably Master Degree Holder (not mandatory)
  • Minimum 2 years working or teaching experience in the filed
  • A strong background in Planning and organizing a fashion collection, defining the structure of a collection and its merchandise mix, Capsule collections organization, ecommerce analysis by category, Supply chain management (dealing with fashion suppliers and the development of the range plan). Managing fashion operations (materials sourcing, sampling, Budgeting and cost management for product development), Product Spec sheets preparation, Manufacturing and logistics management, Retail, sales and different distribution options, Cost Sheets preparation.

  • A solid understanding of fashion business principles.
  • Capability to develop a structured curriculum
  • Emphasis on handson learning through practical exercises and projects.
  • Encouragement of critical thinking and problemsolving skills within the context of animation and visual effects creation.
