    Tax Compliance:
    Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all required tax returns and reports, including income, sales, and property taxes


    Tax Planning:
    Support the development and implementation of effective tax strategies to optimize the organization's financial position and minimize tax liabilities


    Tax Research:
    Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. Conduct research to analyze the impact of these changes on the organization and provide recommendations.


    Financial Analysis:
    Collaborate with the finance department to assess the tax implications of various financial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and investments


    Audits and Disputes:
    Support the Tax manager when representing the organization during tax audits and disputes, working to resolve issues efficiently and in compliance with tax laws


    Record Keeping:
    Maintain accurate and organized tax records, ensuring documentation is readily accessible for compliance and reporting purposes


    Reporting:
    Prepare and present periodic tax reports and forecasts to tax team, highlighting tax-related opportunities and challenges


    Communication:
    Effectively communicate complex tax matters to non-experts within the organization and external partners.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar tax-related certification desirable

    Experience

    Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in tax-related roles. Experience/exposure with tax preparation, planning, and compliance. Familiarity with tax software and tools.

    Knowledge & Skills

    In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
