AccountingManager/Controller

Ourclient, a leading Structural Contractor in the Southwest Floridaarea, is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller.The Controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility forplanning, implementing, and managing all financial-relatedactivities of the company. This will include direct responsibilityfor accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, legal,property management, partnership compliance and private andinstitutionalfinancing.

Responsibilities

Strategy,Planning andManagement

• Actas Controller and strategic business advisor to senior executiveleadershipteam.
  
• Assessand evaluate the financial performance of the organization withregard to long-term operational goals, budgets andforecasts.
  
• Provideinsight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growthplan oforganization.
  
• Communicate,engage and interact with the Executive LeadershipTeam.
  
• Createand establish yearly financial objectives that align with thecompany s plan for growth andexpansion.
  
• Implementpolicies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by seniorleadershipteam.
  

FinancialAnalysis, Budgeting andForecasting

• Prepareand present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthlyprofit and loss, forecast vs. budget and cashflow.
  
• Reviewand analyze monthly financial results and providerecommendations.
  
• Performfinancial planning andanalysis
  

Accounting,General Ledger, Administration andOperations

• Supervisethe accountingdepartment
  
• Reviewand ensure application of appropriate internal control andfinancialprocedures.
  
• Prepareand communicate weekly, monthly and annual financialstatements.
  
• Preparationand timely filing of all local, state and federal taxreturns.
  
• Workwith Human Resources to ensure appropriate legalcompliance.
  
• Reviewall month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts,balance sheet accounts and overhead costallocation.
  
• Hire,develop and manage accountingstaff
  
• Serveas a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparationand support of all externalaudits.
  

FinancialRelations andPolicies

• Representcompany to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, orpublic auditors andofficials.
  
• Remaincurrent on audit best practices as well as state, federal and locallaws regarding companyoperations.
  

Requirements

• BachelorDegree in Accounting or Financepreferred
  
• CPApreferred
  
• ConstructionAccountingpreferred
  
• Familiaritywith Sage Contractor 100 aplus
  
• 5years minimum experience in Accounting orFinance
  
• Outstandingcommunication and presentationskills.
  
• Demonstratedleadership ability, confidence and executive presence ability tomotivatestaff.
  
• Excellentanalytical, reasoning and problem-solvingskills
  

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred CPA preferredConstruction Accounting preferred Familiarity with Sage Contractor100 a plus 5 years minimum experience in Accounting or FinanceOutstanding communication and presentation skills.
