1 Mission**As a BIM (Building Information Modeling) Modeller specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, your primary responsibility will be to create accurate 3D models and virtual representations of MEP systems for various construction projects. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective coordination, clash detection, and visualization of MEP systems within the overall building design.


2 Line and Staff Relations**This role will work under the direction of the BIM Manager


He/She has relation with:

  • Architects and Engineers of a specific descipline (MEP, Structural, Architecture)
  • All the external entities necessary to his/her job execution.

3 Key Responsibilities**- 3D Modeling: Utilize BIM software (Revit) to create detailed 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on project specifications, design drawings, and industry standards.

  • Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate MEP systems seamlessly within the overall building design. Ensure proper coordination and clash detection between MEP systems and other building components to minimize conflicts and improve efficiency.
  • Documentation: Generate accurate 2D drawings, technical diagrams, and schedules based on the 3D models created. Prepare detailed drawings and fabrication drawings for MEP systems, including ductwork, piping, electrical layouts, and equipment.
  • Systems Analysis: Perform comprehensive analysis and simulation of MEP systems, such as load calculations, energy analysis, and fluid flow simulations. Identify potential design issues or inefficiencies and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Collaboration: Actively participate in multidisciplinary project meetings and provide valuable input related to MEP systems. Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication, resolve conflicts, and facilitate decisionmaking processes.
  • Standards Compliance: Adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations while creating and documenting MEP models. Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in BIM technology, software, and industry best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on the created models and drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements. Identify and rectify any errors or discrepancies promptly.
  • Project Support: Provide technical support to project teams during the construction phase, including assisting with onsite coordination, reviewing contractor submittals, and resolving designrelated queries.

4 Profile Specifications - Minimum Requirements**- 5-7 years experience in the field of Engineering drafting.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
  • Strong proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks.
  • Excellent knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  • Solid understanding of construction practices, building systems, and MEP installation techniques.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling, visualization, and coordination techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design clashes and conflicts.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented approach and a commitment to delivering highquality work within project timelines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
