Will
manage maintenance personnel and plan various renovation and repair projects. In this role, you should be organized and proactive. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems is essential. If you're also committed to meeting health and safety standards, we'd like to meet you.


JOB & RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Prioritise and direct the technicians on shift to resolve equipment breakdowns as efficiently as possible.
  • Acting as the technical mentor for technicians and Engineers.
  • Lead and motivate the technicians you are assigned.
  • Maintain the personal development and HR administrative duties, for your direct reports.
  • Developing and implementing solutions for technical/maintenance issues and training technicians in associated methods and metrics.
  • Developing and using metrics to assess the effectiveness of maintenance / reliability activities.
  • Develop and implement ongoing, effective crossplant training for all direct reportsWork closely with the Engineering group to highlight and resolve recurring equipment issues.
  • Supervises the work in short, long and planned term maintenance of the premises.
  • Regulatory compliance with local, state and federal legislations

Supervising Maintenance Staff_:

The maintenance supervisor is responsible for managing a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring that they perform their duties efficiently.

This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, and conducting performance evaluations.

The supervisor is responsible for implementing and managing a preventive maintenance program to ensure that all equipment, systems, and facilities are properly maintained and serviced on a regular basis.

This helps to prevent breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of the hotel's assets.

Repairs and Troubleshooting_:

When equipment or systems in the hotel facility break down or malfunction, the maintenance supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the repair process.

This may involve troubleshooting issues, ordering replacement parts, and working with external contractors if necessary.

Safety and Compliance_:

The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards.

This includes conducting regular safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment for both staff and guests.

The maintenance supervisor is often involved in the budgeting process for the maintenance department. This includes estimating costs for repairs and maintenance activities, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving measures.

The maintenance supervisor plays a crucial role in coordinating maintenance activities with other departments within the hotel, such as housekeeping and front office.

They also need to effectively communicate maintenance needs and updates to management and staff.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting, is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to safety and maintenance is a must.
  • Should have a solid understanding of various systems and equipment found in a hotel, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Must be skilled in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Should have strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Should have a customer service mindset and be able to respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Job Types:

Salary:
AED3, AED5,000.00 per month
