Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Financial Director

Financial Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our prestigious university in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the institution's overall goals and objectives.
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and auditing.
Manage the preparation of financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Provide strategic financial advice to the executive team and board of directors.
Lead financial planning and analysis to support long-term financial sustainability and growth.
Ensure robust financial controls and risk management practices are in place and adhered to.
Oversee investment strategies, manage cash flow, and optimize financial resources.
Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to develop and manage budgets.
Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities, to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Drive financial initiatives to support the university's mission and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is essential.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the education sector.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and financial management principles.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the education sector, particularly in a university setting.
Knowledge of the financial landscape in Dubai and the broader UAE region.
Experience in overseeing financial operations in a tax-free environment.
