R o le Purpose:


Supporting the administrative functions of the office of the Chief Medical Office with specific reference to data and information handling and physician liaison.

He/she shall be deployed as required, to trouble
- shoot process issues raised within the department to satisfy both internal and external clients.


Main A ccountabilities:

Ensures the implementation of the Medical Division shared mission, vision, objectives, and work standards.

Shall support the CMO office in the preparation of policies, procedures guidelines and forms for the medical division and medical specialties.

Work with Human resources to maintain updated database and personal files of all physicians and allied health, including certifications, valid life support courses, competencies, and other required documents.

Coordination of data collection and assimilation required for ongoing physician practice evaluation (OPPE).
Monitors and tracks the privilege expiry dates of fulltime, community and parttime physicians and assists in the re-privileging process.
Tracks physicians' probation evaluation to ensure completion in a timely manner.

Supports the development and implementation of best practices related to the Clinical Record, in line with the health record guidelines from DHA and or MOH, and JCI standards.

Sends education/orientation communications to clinicians (Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, and other Allied Health workers) as required.
Supports the Medical Admin Office Manager in onboarding activities for physicians.
Supports physicians with registrations on DHA portal for prescribing narcotic medications.

Assists the CMO office in reviewing and preparing clinical files as requested by the DHA Clinical Governance office, Dubai courts and MOH for investigation.

Supports Physicians with EMR training issues and queries.
Active participation in hospital-wide activities including training, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Supports the CMO office for JCI and other accreditation related tasks.
Liaise with Finance Department to purchase DHA sick leave certificates in timely manner.
Other miscellaneous tasks as required by the CMO Office.

J ob Specifications:


Education:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Heath science.


Experience: 3- 5 years at a reputable hospital or its equivalent position.


Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to set priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner.
Analytical approach to problem solving and decision-making.
Good English Grammar and knowledge of medical terminologies is desirable.
Good interpersonal relations.


Equipment Operated:
Computer, scanners, Health information portals.


Licensure:

Languages:
Written and spoken proficiency both in English and Arabic is preferred.


Personal Requirement:

Must have integrity and high standard of work ethics with evidence of good health and grooming, good moral character and right conduct, strong and pleasing personality.

Participates actively in organization-wide activities without hesitance or personal reservation. Can adapt to unusual job-related circumstances. Works effectively under stressful condition. Willing to work extended hours to attend to departmental needs.
