    Role Overview:

    The Global Financial Institutions Sector Group, is responsible for managing relationships of a defined group of Financial institutions in the Middle East, which includes Financial Institutions (FI's) and Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI's), primarily in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) , based in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), UAE

    Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

    The Junior Relationship Manager (JRM) will be supporting both the Relationship Manager (RM)/Parent Account Manager (PAM) for FIs and NBFIs on their day to day job. JRM is expected to be actively involved in the establishment, development and enhancement of relationships that we manage. The JRM will be challenged to develop business opportunities while ensuring the business and clients are in compliant with ING standards and local DFSA regulations including KYC, AML and Sanction guidelines.

    The key responsibilities of the role will be as follows;
    • Client information management
    • Research & Data Analysis
    • Origination Core Tasks

    Client Information Management:

    Maintaining client information accurate, processing CDD requests

    Understanding and monitoring client dealings and external clients' relations in the market environment.

    Maintaining and monitoring data quality and to keep the required internal systems up to date.

    Reporting on client profitability and account condition.

    Co-ordinating internal departments when working on a deal.

    Develop and implement the required communications channels.

    Developing internal relationships.

    Research & Analysis -

    Providing client data and background information to facilitate business development.

    Providing peer analysis of clients on a proactive basis.

    Assisting the RM in identifying critical business issues and potential business/ cross-sell opportunities.

    Origination:

    Assisting in the origination for products from all relevant ING business lines

    Preparing briefing memos for client meetings, and annual client relationship plans in close co-operation with the RM, product specialists and ING offices abroad

    Liaising with product specialists and foreign ING offices

    Preparing commercial input for credit applications, modifications, reviews and green light committees

    Candidate Profile

    Qualification/Education

    Essential:

    Undergraduate degree holder or equivalent.

    Desirable:

    CFA holder

    Experience/Knowledge

    Essential:

    Understand and embrace the importance of risk excellence when working with Emerging Markets in Banking

    Fluent in English (written and verbal)

    Finance Background

    Desirable:

    Arabic language skills, written & verbal.

    Prior experience as a Wholesale banker and Financial Institutions business in Emerging Markets
