    Job Description

    Based at Al Ain Serco are currently seeking a Business/Finance Manager role to manage, coordinate and assess financial and commercial activities of the MELABS military contract and to provide financial advice and support to the MELABS senior leadership team to enable them to make sound business decisions

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic financial and commercial leadership and advice to Contract Manager
    • MELABS and the Senior Management Team-Ensure the adequacy of financial resources and financial disciplines to underpin the achievement of Contract strategy and objectives.
    Be the SME in respect of Serco`s rights and obligations under the MELABS Contract and act as the adviser in respect of all matters of `contracts management `and `subcontracts management`. Be able to advise the Senior Management Team on all matters to do with Contract terms & conditions.Manage the monthly Validation process.Manage Internal and External Audit; Ensure the provision of an accurate monthly financial accounting and management information package for the Contract Manager, and ASPAC Corporate Office (i.e. Balance Sheet, P&L`s, cash flow, CAPEX, etc.)Job Category Accounting & Audit

    Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceKnowledge-Sound knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.-Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications including advanced Excel skills.-Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.-Bachelor`s Degree in Accounting.-Sound SAP knowledge.-Stay abreast of changes in external and internal financial regulations and legislation.-Knowledge to be able to read & interpret the contract (and subcontracts and other subsidiary agreements), and from that identify processes and works that the Contract is undertaking outside (or in excess of) the contract work scope and (using the contract) prosecute these thru to additional revenue.-Identify, articulate, price & prosecute growth opportunities.-A mature, proactive and detail oriented individual.

    Skills-Ability to positively influence key stakeholders within the Contract and business areas.-Good time management and organizational skills.-Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.-Ability to liaise in a professional manner with staff at all levels in the organisation and with external parties.-Ability to develop self and contribute to the development of others across the MELABS Team.-Good communication skills, both written and verbal.-The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.-Strong analytical and numerical skills.

    Experience-A minimum of 3 years` experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, and providing financial advice.
