Summary:Create value by ensuring availability ofreliable trucks to convey organization s goods as desired. Closelymonitor trucks daily operations to achieve safe and timely servicedelivery. Maintain a clear and scalable strategy to support thegrowth plan of theorganization

DutiesandResponsibilities:

• Ensureeffective utilization of resources provided for the operations ofcompany fleet to prevent loss, accidents and occupationalhazards
  
• Prepare, implement and monitor transportbudget
  
• Support troubleshooting and diagnostics procedure on companytrucks
  
• Record observations and findings during diagnostics checksdaily
  
• Manage day to day operational team leaders via coaching andmentoring
  
• Manage, motivate, train and continuously develop theteam
  
• Institute and administer the HSE policies of theorganization.
  
• Conduct periodic fire training and drills for allstaff
  
• Develop a cost effective and efficient fleet operations spend forthecompany
  
• Be responsible for recovery/ release of arrested trucks bygovernment agents and ortouts.
  
• Update documentation on trucks, manage the repairs of articulatedvehicles, liaising with the maintenanceteam
  
• Conduct periodic market survey on haulage rates and operationalprocedures
  
• Perform other duties as may beassigned.

• Qualificationto degree level, a higher degree and professionalqualification
  
• 10 years cognateexperience
  
• In-depth knowledge of supply chainmanagement

• Strong analytical, report writing and computerskills
