Key responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the STEAM DT teacher and other primary class teachers to ensure a seamless integration of the computing curriculum with ongoing projects.

Plan and facilitate engaging two-week residencies in the STEAM centre, tailored to maximise student engagement and learning outcomes.

Deliver instruction in a variety of computing disciplines, including coding, robotics, 3D printing, CAD and lead engaging ECAs such as Lego League.

Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners and encourage creativity and problem-solving.

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback, guiding them towards achieving a high-standard final product. Continuously update the curriculum to include the latest trends and advancements in STEAM education and computing technology. Engage with the broader school community to showcase the importance and achievements of the STEAM centre.


About you:
We seek to appoint an outstanding Primary STEAM Computing Teacher to join our team in August 2024 start.

  • A track record of effective collaboration and positive relationship building with colleagues.
A flexible approach to the planning and delivery of the curriculum to accommodate various projects and student needs. Knowledge and hands-on experience in coding, robotics, 3D printing, CAD and other computing technologies relevant to primary education. An innovative and creative approach to teaching that integrates design thinking and problem-solving. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
