To continue building the KONE Safety Culture and proactively promote safety practices in regional front lines, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Safety Manager to be based in our Dubai office.


We are looking for somebody with a proven track record of being a go-getter and who can collaborate with different functions to ensure the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and guidelines affecting safety.


  • What will you do?_
  • Full accountability to implement, maintain and improve KONE safety management system (operating model) including worker, user and third party safety;
  • Oversee and take responsibility for setting and driving objectives, roles and responsibilities for safety throughout the region;
  • Analyze feedback from Customer and Field and proactively gather other relevant data to identify continuous improvement opportunities;
  • Demonstrate ownership of safety by being a role model to all and living the safety culture on daily basis;
  • Be the provider of professional support, drive management commitment and active worker participation in safety activities;
  • Establish, manage and develop front lines safety committees and other safety forums;
  • Participate in and contribute to global safety team meetings;
  • Compile, maintain and improve safety documentation and monitor usage in all front lines;
  • Ensure use of and continually improve safety risk management processes, tools and practices;
  • Support and/or lead safety related change management projects and initiatives;
  • Monitor legal and business environment developments in safety while identifying and initiating corrective actions;
  • Perform and manage safety audits to verify compliance, identify uncontrolled risks and deviations in the front lines in middle east and Africa;
  • Set safety targets, goals and plan with unit leadership and global safety function;
  • Be the representative for KONE to external stakeholders in safety matters.
  • Are you the one?_
  • Bachelor degree in engineering or strong technical background.
  • 10+ years of experience in safety & quality managing countrywide operations within the same or relevant industries, such as construction, with at least 35 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong track record of setting corporate safety strategy and launching safety/quality programs and trainings across the organization.
  • Experience with site/field operations is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools, methods and systems.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Ability to influence, lead and coach teams and overlook multiple major and medium sized projects simultaneously.
