    Description

    We have a contract opportunity for a Electro-Technical Officer with a major oil and gas client.

    The role is working offshore Dubai, UAE, on 28/28 rotation

    The Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) is responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of all maritime electrical and electronic equipment onboard

    Look after the safe and efficient operation of generators and distribution systems automatic control systems of propulsion and auxiliary machinery computers and computer networks on board, all electrical machinery and equipment onboard.

    Responsible for the periodic checks and maintenance required for compliance with the vessels planned maintenance programme and any maintenance which is required at any time

    Compile and submit electrical material requisitions for consumables and spares parts for electrical equipment onboard (including main and auxiliary generators, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), switchboards, electric motors, Dynamic Positioning (DP) system, vessel navigation systems) to the Chief Engineer and to maintain an onboard inventory of the same.

    Present electrical machinery and equipment for the various surveys such as Class, Flag State, internal audits

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Job Related Competencies

    Educational Qualifications:

    Electro-Technical Officer License STCW III/6.

    Experience Profile:

    Prior experience as Electro Technical Officer on offshore DP2 Classed vessels.

    Competencies/Skills/Others:

    • Thorough knowledge of vessel propulsion, diesel engines and diesel gensets, HVAC and electrical/electronic system, knowledge of shipboard control and automation systems
    • High level of computer literacy; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and Oracle
    • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Highly organised
    • High attention to detail.
