The mission of the Academic Success Centre (ASC) is to provide, in coordination with various units in the University, a range of innovative and customised academic support services to ensure successful progression of students.

The Manager of the Centre will provide leadership to implement the mission of the Centre which includes continuous assessment of students' progression, orientation, support and advice.

The role includes a great deal of coordination with various academic units and professional departments to support the students' academic journey.

Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Academic orientation and induction for new students.
  • Proactive monitoring of rate of progress of students at risk.
  • Coordinate academic support for students at risk and students with special needs.
  • Provision of a central One-StopShop for coordination and management of students' academic special considerations, grievances and academic advice.
  • Management and monitoring of the success and progress of effectiveness of delivery of pathway students.
  • Prepare and present annual statistical reports on students support services.
  • Ensure compliance with work health and safety policy; and take reasonable care that your acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other persons.
  • Observe principles and practices of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Business / Technology / Education
  • Experience in project management and supervision of employees
  • Understanding of tertiary students' requirements and the ability to provide educational solutions that enhance the student's learning journey.
  • A commitment to the values of Passion, Courage, Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration and Innovation

Desirable

  • Qualification and experience in the field of Education
  • Qualification in the field of Psychology
