Description

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Geography,Urban Planning or related field(mandatory).

Masters Degree in TransportationEngineering and Planning(advantageous).

Membership of aprofessional institution or society such as CIHT, ICE orTPS

Eligibility forchartership/certification/license from a recognized professionalbody (e.g. P.E., P.Eng., CEng, Chartered Transport Planner orequivalent) ispreferred.


Specific SkillsRequired

The candidate shouldhave:

Good understanding of the underlyingprinciples of transport planning and modelling, sufficient to carryout and support transport modelling, master planning and impactstudies.

Experience of using industry standardsoftware such as Cube Voyager; PTV Visum; PTV Vissim, SIDRA,Synchro, HCS+.

Working knowledge/experience ofAbu Dhabi Strategic Transportation Evaluation and Assessment Model(STEAM).

Awareness/working knowledge of Aimsunis advantageous.

Ability to create, handle andmanipulate large data sets with MSExcel.

Working knowledge ofAutoCAD.

Very good technical writingskills.

Competent use of the English language(reading, writing, and spoken) at a professional and technicallevel.
