- Coastal structures design (beaches,groynes, breakwaters, revetments, scour protection, dredging andreclamation, concrete armourprotection)
- Waterfront development masterplans, beaches and edge protection
- Marinalayout and design
- Marine edge structures design(quay walls, piles, jetties)
- Familiar withnumerical modelling of coastal processes (wave transformation andpenetration, hydrodynamics and sedimenttransport)
- Familiar with CFD and physicalmodelling
- Vessel navigation and mooringstudies
- Management of marine tasks and workingwithin design teams
- Good confidentcommunication, with good writing and presentation skills

As asuccessful candidate you will be degree qualified from a recognizeduniversity in an appropriate field (Civil, Marine, Coastal, OceanEngineering, or similar), as well as having 3-10 years ofexperience operating as a Coastal Engineer. Experience of workingin the Middle East is advantageous as well as being a qualifiedmember (or actively working towards membership) of a recognizedinstitution or organization (to include but not necessarily belimited to ICE, IMarEST, APM, RICS, CIOB, AIA,RIBA).
