The Product Sales Senior Specialist, Commercial Cards will have regional responsibility across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) cluster for building, developing, and converting a pipeline for Commercial Cards within our Treasury & Trade Services Corporate (TTS Corp), Public Sector (PS), Financial Institutions (FI) and Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) clients.


The Product Sales Senior Specialist will work closely with Citi's large clients, the leadership team, sales, and product partners across the region and will drive strategic initiatives and commercialization, as well as lead complex deals.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead Commercial Card Sales for the MEA Cluster
  • Develop and Leverage both internal network (Bankers, TTS Sales, Relationship teams,) and external partners [Associations, Travel Management Companies (TMCs), Payment Facilitators] to build a pipeline and gather intelligence of target market Prospects
  • Develop a winning strategy to convert prospects to real opportunities and achieve an annual revenue target. Proactive business development approach to identify prospects
  • Structure innovative card solutions aligned with client key objectives
  • Work with companies to fully understand their Accounts Payable payment processes with the aim of identifying card solutions that would allow the client to improve their current processes from an efficiency and costbenefit perspective and deliver working capital benefits
  • Liaise with Supply Chain Finance colleagues on joinedup approaches to our clients for supplier payments
  • Ensure the broader relationship teams have uptodate talking points and are positioning Card solutions with clients. Conduct internal training and workshops across partner network for product knowledge and developments.
  • Use available payments data to identify specific flows to target maintain strong sales discipline
  • Manage the endtoend sales process from preRFP analysis, through to stakeholder management, RFP response, presentation, pricing strategy, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Have expert detailed knowledge of Citi's suite of cards solutions available globally and be able to articulate the reason for any country nuances.
  • Prepare and lead sales presentations and pitches
  • Maintain an accurate and updated pipeline of all prospects in CRM and adopt good sales discipline
  • Work with Contract Management team to ensure rapid contract negotiation and execution
  • Work with partners in Onboarding to ensure new business is implemented effectively and efficiently to deliver revenue without delay
  • Provide Sales colleagues and Product Management with any market or competitor intelligence and provide input into annual Tech and innovation planning cycle
  • Work with Sales and Client Executive colleagues on deal replication, specifically relating to a particular flow or industry
  • Attend regular team and sales management meeting
  • Represent Citi at Industry conferences

Qualifications:


  • Advanced commercial cards knowledge
  • Trade/Supply chain finance experience preferred
  • Experience of selling to multinational companies across several jurisdictions
  • A combination of commercial and analytical skills
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in large franchise/branch networks, matrix & multinational models
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deliver via partner network and communicate effectively across leadership teams

Education:


  • Bachelor's/University degree preferred
