Repton Dubai is seeking an outstanding
Inclusion Teacher to join January 2024.


The Inclusion Department at Repton Dubai embraces the individuality of every child through delivering a range of targeted interventions by a dynamic team of Inclusion Specialists and Learning Support Assistants.

The Inclusion Department strive to provide personalised learning opportunities for students from Y- Y13 in 1:1 and group settings, regularly participating in Unified Schools opportunities, such as Unified Robotics and Football.

We work closely with a range of external providers from Speech and Language, Occupational Therapists and Educational Psychologists.


Purpose


To support and promote an inclusive culture throughout the school, enabling all pupils to achieve their best and to support the Director of Inclusion and Teaching and Learning Department in promoting the learning and personal development of students with additional needs, in addition to having the ability to teach Key Stage 2.

The successful applicant will be required to teach children individually or in small groups as specified.

They will also have an important pastoral care role within the school and will be expected to communicate with parents.

Attendance at staff meetings and other specified after school events will form a part of the contractual hours of duty.


Skills, Experience and Responsibility

  • Experience and knowledge teaching students with special educational needs and/or English as an additional language
  • A commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the School and support of the School's policies and procedures
  • Resilience and the ability to work well under pressure; ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
  • A commitment to supporting the wider life of the school and boarding house.
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings, open days, briefings, assemblies, INSET days, parent consultations and other school events, as required
  • Liaise regularly with our Director of Inclusion to review teaching targets, reports, and any communication with parents
  • Be responsible to implement and execute IEPs for students of determination and EAL
  • Train and conduct workshops for Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants
  • Create and update student profiles
  • Plan and execute group and 1:1 lesson plans evidenced by weekly summary reports

  • Hold Bachelors of Education and PGCE with appropriate specialism, or
  • Have experience teaching in a UK setting or renowned British Curriculum / international school
  • Have the ability to teach Key Stage
  • Be at least 24 years old
  • Already in the UAE with their own visa

15 minutes drive from the downtown area of the city and very close to main arterial routes. The airport is 20 minutes drive from the school. The campus is large with state of the art facilities to support all aspects of the curriculum. Teaching staff are housed close to the school in apartment blocks leased by the school.

Those not housed in school accommodation are given a housing allowance to enable them to rent elsewhere in the city.
