The opportunity

The Turkish Linguist will support the development of a conversational AI language model. They will be part of a team, participating in an organized effort to annotate and develop a large language corpus for collecting documents.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

• Construction of conversational content in target language pertaining to the domain of teaching various subjects.
• Evaluate AI model output and ranking responses from AI models.
• Track self-progress and produce structured and organized reports of work achieved.
• Collaborate with other annotators, Applied Scientists, and Data Engineers to establish requirements, understand challenges, and report bottlenecks in annotation tasks.
• Discover and report patterns in AI model behavior, wherever applicable.
• Fact-check content and Spell-check content.
• Evaluate/ grade output from other annotators.
• Identifying and removing bias, toxicity, or offensive content.
• Create task descriptions for annotators in English and target language in collaboration with AI team. Manage and train annotators for annotation tasks.
• Create example annotations for annotation team.
• Stay updated with current trends in data annotation techniques and constantly adapt in-house processes towards best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

Skills and attributes for success

• Native speaker of target language + any dialects.
• Strong writing and verbal skills in target language and English (for internal team collaboration).
• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in linguistics.
• Ability to learn and work with annotation tools with a Graphical User Interface.
