    Description
    • Provide daily operationcoordination of the plant to produce safely the targeted quantitieswith right quality keeping in consideration costaspect.
    • Review the operating data as per theplanned production targets, past and present prevailing conditionsincluding laboratory analysis, operating plant performance;highlight any major deviations from the operating envelopes(parameters), and ensure suitable actions are taken towards theirmitigation.
    • Develop Integrity Operating Windowfor critical equipment and systems in coordination with otherdepartments to ensure the plant is operating at optimum efficiencyand safety.
    • Ensure safe, efficient and optimaloperability of plant, its operating units and systems. Contributesto the continuous improvement of the facility and itscapabilities.
    • Write daily instructions andguidelines for the shifts to meet the defined targets. Highlightsabnormalities and recommends corrective actions for ShiftSupervisors to deal with process or qualityproblems.
    • Collaborate with Plant ShiftSupervisors to identify improvement possibilities and strengths intheir shifts.

    AssetPerformance

    • Monitor equipment and systemsperformances, identify potential problems and submitsrecommendations to the management, OPEX team and shift teams forappropriate actions such as revising operating modes orconditions.
    • Review, monitor overall reliabilityefforts and participate in reliability improvement programs, likeproblem identification, root cause analysis andrecommendations.
    • Collaborate with maintenancepersonnel to ensure regular planned, statutory and unplanned /emergency maintenance is carried out in the most efficient and safemanner and that the downtime due to maintenance work isminimized.
    • Follow up and suggest systemmodifications & development in the plant operating units tomaintain and improve safety, efficiency and flexibility ofoperations.
    • Participate in incident / accidentinvestigation teams to provide recommendations to maintain highlevel of plant safety, integrity andreliability.
    • Assist Manager, Plant Operationsin preparing regular and ad-hoc plant reports and analyses asrequired to keep management informed of the performance of theplant.
    • Act as a focal point to plan andcoordinate turnaround activities or any other majoractivity.
    • Analyze, review, and assess theimprovement initiatives to assure itseffectiveness.
    • Lead, or participate introubleshooting activities, investigations, network meetings,projects and product reviews.
