PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Landsurveyors use special equipment to conduct measurements andevaluations of sites for public government and private property.The responsibilities of land surveyors include developing landsurvey reports and performing calculations of measurements andevaluations.

DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing the land surveying strategies.
• Conducting land surveys on various properties.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and topographicmaps.
• Measuring distances and angles of theland surface.
• Using the required landsurveying equipment.
• Drawing the roughsketches of the land.
• Reading the maps andmaking notes as per the requirements.
• Reporting the legal land description forsurveys.
• Calculating the measurements of theland site.
• Verifying the calculations andanalyzing the data.
• Maintaining the surveyingequipment.
• Preparing the reports on surveyresults
• Presenting the data toclients.
• Advising on technicalaspects.
• Researching the legal boundaries ofthe site.
• Collaborating with the teammembers.
• Guiding the new employees as and whenrequired.
• Following all the legalprocedures.

KEY SKILLS:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Land Surveying or asimilar field.
• Proven work experience workingas a Land Surveyor or a similar position.
• Avalid surveyors license is required.
• Proficiency in land surveying software such as SurveCEFieldGenius XPAD Survey etc.
• Ability tounderstand and interpret written documents.
• Phenomenal understanding and knowledge of GPS andGIS.
• Quick decisionmakingabilities.
• Illustrate good time managementskills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent maths and analytical skills.
• Outstanding oral and written communicationskills.
• Ability to explain the terminologiesand findings to the team members.
