    Job Description

    PURPOSE &


    SCOPE:


    Jobs at this level are responsible for checking / reviewing / issuance of all engineering deliverables in timely manner within the budget.

    The jobholders at this position are required to ensure the quality of all deliverables and adherence to company quality plans and job specifications / guidelines etc.

    Jobs at this level are responsible for planning, allocating tasks for the Engineering and Drafting teams, co-ordination of activities, attending meetings with Client / PMT / Yard etc.

    and the preparation and checking of all project documentation. The engineers at this position may have to go for onshore/ offshore site survey.


    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for independently handling medium to large size EPC projects.
    • Ensuring adherence to company procedures, client specifications, guidelines, international codes and standards.
    • Review of enquiry documentation from client together with Scope of Work to understand what is required. Raising queries where there is lack of clarity. Interface with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities.
    • Ensuring technical accuracy and quality of all discipline deliverables during all phases of allotted project i.e. basic, detailed and construction engineering.
    • Prepare man-hour estimates for engineering deliverables at the estimation stage.
    • Prepare system design philosophy and specifications. Perform detailed design of HVAC system including Ducting & Instrumentation Diagram, Piping & Instrumentation Diagram, HVAC Heat load calculations, Duct /pipe pressure loss calculations, equipment sizing, duct/ pipe sizing, etc.
    • Responsible for Inter Discipline Checking activities i.e. issuance / review and approval.
    • Coordinate with the Drafting Office Co-ordinator for the checking and issuing of HVAC detailed drawings and shop drawings.
    • Prepare purchase requisitions for HVAC equipments and specify inspection/ test and vendor data requirements.

    Skills Required


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • B.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical).
    • 10 year's HVAC system design experience in the oil and gas industry out of which minimum 3 year should be in Lead Engineer role.
    • Knowledge of Carrier E20-II software.
    • Good command of written and spoken English.
    • Conversant with international design/ engineering codes and standard.
