Job Summary:


  • Paint formulation, color matching, and tinting, as per standard color (panels) given by the customer.
  • The Color Matcher will be involved in the efficient operation of the lab, general housekeeping, ensuring a safe work environment, and will independently perform tasks as outlined by his/her supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities:


  • You are expected to obey all safety rules, follow safe work practices, and exercise caution in all of the work activities. You have the responsibility for your surroundings and working conditions at all times to help ensure your safety and the safety of those around you.
  • Properly use, maintain, and store the lab's personal protective equipment and consumables.
  • Match the color as per customer standards and specifications.
  • Match and produce the Touchup paint as per customer standards, and specification.
  • Record and communicate formulations in a clear and unmistakable manner, noting any special features or requirements.
  • Perform Quality Control checks on all color matches before the shipment of samples.
  • Record the formulation in the ERP system.
  • Manage and organize all matches and records in the color lab.
  • Monitor and maintain all the Lab equipment in working condition as per QMS requirements.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure the daily reports are circulated on time to the hierarchy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the Liquid Sample.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/ Paint Technology/ Polymergood in their academics above 80%
- only.

  • Minimum 23 years of experience from Coil Coatings/Powder Coatings/Extrusion Coatings industry.
  • Ability to formulate, color match, design, analyze data, and convey results.
  • Must have full perception of the color spectrum, and the ability to create formulas promptly using available materials.
  • Work in a lab environment using standard office equipment such as a computer, or printer, and be familiar with Microsoft tools.
  • The person should be physically fit to work in the chemical industry from all aspects.
