Position Overview:


The Food Packer plays a critical role in the packaging and labeling of food products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet production targets.


Responsibilities:


Packaging Operations:

  • Package food products according to standard operating procedures, ensuring accurate weight, quantity, and labeling.
  • Operate packaging equipment, such as sealing machines, weighing scales, and labeling machines, following safety protocols.
  • Assemble packaging materials, such as boxes, containers, or bags, and prepare them for filling.
  • Monitor packaging processes to maintain efficiency and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and storage areas.

Quality Control:

  • Perform visual inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of packaged food products.
  • Check labels, expiration dates, and other product details to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Report any packaging defects, product nonconformities, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors or quality control personnel.
  • Follow proper handling procedures for sensitive or perishable food items to prevent contamination or spoilage.

Safety and Sanitation:

  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper hand hygiene, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and following safety protocols.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the safety and quality of food products.
  • Participate in regular training programs related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety.
  • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses to supervisors or the designated safety representative.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, including batch records, production logs, and quality control forms.
  • Complete necessary documentation, such as packaging labels, product codes, and weight records.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking packaging materials and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Follow proper documentation procedures for traceability and recall purposes.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding packaging requirements, issues, or concerns.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in food packaging or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of packaging equipment and processes.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle packaging equipment and materials.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts or extended hours, if required.

Salary:
AED3, AED4,000.00 per month


Experience:


  • Meal plan: 2 years (preferred)
Cloud Kitchen: 2 years (preferred)
