What you will do
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team. You will be based in Dubai and report to the Legal Director - MEA.

As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and guidance to our organization.

You will be responsible for ensuring the legality of our company's operations and transactions, as well as providing support in various legal matters.


How you will do it

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to management and other departments within the organization.
  • Review and draft legal documents, such as agreements and policies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on current laws and regulations that may impact the organization's operations.
  • Assess and manage legal risks, providing proactive advice on potential legal issues and suggesting strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, when necessary, to handle complex legal matters.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in legislation that may impact the organization's legal obligations.
  • Train and educate employees on legal matters, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and legal awareness within the organization.
  • Maintain and update legal documentation, records, and contracts.
  • Support in managing dispute resolution in terms of business issues, potential or actual claims or litigation

What we look for

Required

  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Qualified lawyer in any jurisdiction of the MEA region.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Legal Counsel or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, and conducting negotiations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Arabic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Exposure to dispute resolution processes (e.g., litigation, arbitration, and mediation)
