Summary:
The Laboratory Technician in the science and pharmaceutical industry plays a crucial role in supporting scientific research and experimentation by performing various laboratory tasks and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare laboratory samples and specimens for analysis by following standard operating procedures.
Perform laboratory tests and experiments under the supervision of scientists or researchers.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration, cleanliness, and functionality.
Collect and record accurate data, observations, and results from experiments and tests.
Analyze and interpret laboratory data, using relevant software or manual calculations.
Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, chemicals, and solutions as required.
Assist in the development and validation of laboratory methods and protocols.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues and optimize laboratory processes.
Stay updated with the latest laboratory techniques, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Laboratory Technology. Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred. Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and procedures relevant to the specific industry. Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and guidelines. Proficiency in using laboratory instruments and software for data analysis. Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and recording data. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively. Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work in shifts, if required, and adapt to changing work demands.
