The Department of Chemical and BiologicalEngineering, in collaboration with the Department of Biology,Chemistry and Environmental Sciences, is seeking to hire apostdoctoral research associate to work with Professor OussamaEl-Kadri on the development of porous materials (polymers, MOFs,COFs, etc.) for hydrogen storage application. Ideal applicantsshould be self-motivated and independent researchers with a strongbackground in the all aspects of porous materials chemistry,including synthesis andcharacterization.

JobResponsibilities

• Conduct all experimental work relatedto the project
• Produce monthly reports and helpin writing manuscripts
• Provide occasional labsupervision to shadowing undergraduatestudents
• Adhere to laboratory safetyrules
  

Qualifications AndExperience Required

• PhD in chemistry, chemicalengineering or material science
• Proven skillsin chemical synthesis and preparation of polymers and/or porousmaterial
• Strong skills in characterizationtechniques and operating instruments such as BET surface areameasurements, SEM, TGA, etc.
