Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled
Testing & Commissioning Engineer
with hands-on experience in HV, MV, and LV electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and commissioning of
HV, MV, and LV panels
, switchgears, and related electrical components. - Conduct functional testing of
numerical protection relays
, ensuring correct settings and coordination. - Test and commission
power transformers, cables, and associated systems
. - Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults during commissioning and pre-commissioning stages.
- Prepare and review test procedures, reports, and documentation in compliance with project standards.
- Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and clients for successful handover of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with
safety standards
and UAE electrical regulations.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering
or equivalent. - Proven experience in
HV, MV, and LV panel testing and commissioning
. - Hands-on knowledge of
numerical protection relays
(e.g., ABB, Siemens, Schneider). - Experience with
power transformers, cables, and related electrical equipment
. - Ability to read and interpret
schematics, single line diagrams, and electrical drawings
. - Familiarity with
international electrical standards
(IEC, IEEE) and UAE codes. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects in the Middle East.
- Certification in electrical testing/commissioning or protective relay testing.
