Crewing Officer who will be responsible for supervising overall recruitment, logistics, crew planning, and administration of all sea staff for the managed vessels.

Ensuring that assigned vessels are sufficiently manned to meet company and client requirements. Ensuring the smooth operation of the Crewing Team and providing guidance and assistance where deemed required.


Role:

• Ensure compliance and proper documentation of planned seafarers as per STCW and TORM Document and Training Matrix.
• Responsible in preparation of assigned seafarers
• Monitor Pre-Employment Medical Examination and result.
• Inform seafarer of final joining date and dispatch.
• Prepare and ensure all seafarer's documents are in order, where all original certificates are handed over and carried onboard.
• Responsible in the completeness, quality, and accuracy of uploaded documents at Crew Personnel System.
• Ensure that workwear is issued to joining seafarers or coordinated to vessel for onboard issuance.
• Validate reimbursement request prior submission to Accounting, Payroll and Quality, Training and Recruitment department
• Provide clerical support to the Operations and Chartering Dept for smooth functioning of department activities
• Monitor crew schedules, ensuring that crew is assigned on vessels appropriate to their skills and qualifications.
• Monitor upcoming vacancies and recruit crew as required, giving priority to internal appointments before hiring externally.
• Oversee the issue of all contractual paperwork to the assigned vessel crew.
• Monitor performance of all sea staff, liaising with Operations and Technical to plan transfers and/or promotions.
• Handle crew disciplinary or underperformance issues.

Requirements:

• 23 years of related experience.
• Exposure in a similar function in the shipping, maritime, marine, oil and gas, and offshore industry.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education.
• Language:
• Hindi and English
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment.
• Comfortable with change & ability to adapt quickly.
• Ability to guide processes to closure.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills are of key importance for this role.
• Clear and effective communication skills.

Salary:
AED7, AED8,000.00 per month
