Job Title: Solutions Engineer – AI & Automation
Reports To Managing Director
Unit/Department: IT, Software
Working Days: 5 days (8+1 hours)
Work Location: Dubai, UAE
Objective:
The Solutions Engineer – AI & Automation will lead end-to-end process automation across the company's group portfolio by identifying inefficiencies, integrating systems, and delivering scalable, AI-enabled workflows that improve speed, accuracy, and operational efficiency. The Solutions Engineer will be the bridge between businesses and technology by working directly with stakeholders to understand real-world processes, translate them into effective automations, and prioritize AI-driven solutions where feasible. The Solution Engineer requires staying current with rapidly evolving AI capabilities by applying production-ready technologies to deliver measurable and group-wide impact.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring the discovery sessions with business teams to understand workflows, pain points, and requirements.
2. Evaluating AI-first solutions before conventional approaches - always ask whether an AI-powered tool, agent, or workflow exists that eliminates the need for traditional automation.
3. Designing integration architectures that connect disparate systems (CRMs, inventory, payments, communication)
4. Building automations using Zapier, , and similar platforms - you should be an expert here
5. Deploying AI agents and assistants where they can replace manual processes or decision-making
6. Write custom code (Python, JavaScript, APIs) when off-the-shelf tools don't fit
7. Configuring and customizing SaaS platforms (Shopify, Jobber, Airtable, Retool, etc.)
8. Ensuring to use Replit, Vercel, or similar for rapid prototyping and lightweight tool-building
9. Ensuring to stay current on AI capabilities - new models, tools, and platforms ship weekly; you track what's production-ready.
10. Training end users and ensuring adoption; troubleshooting issues post-launch
11. Documenting solutions thoroughly for maintenance and future scaling
12. Ensuring to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the company.
13. Any other roles and responsibilities to be assigned by the Managing Director and/or the CEO
Qualification/Experience:
1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics.
2. 4-7 years in solutions engineering, technical consulting, or automation-focused roles
3. AI-first mindset - instinctively ask "is there an AI solution for this?" before building conventional workflows
4. Experience with low-code platforms: Retool, Airtable, Notion, Replit
5. Have configured SaaS tools end-to-end (not just used them)
6. Strong discovery and process mapping skills - understand business before building
7. Pragmatic about technology: picking the simplest solution that works
8. Fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
9. Fluent with AI tools - Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and emerging AI agents are part of your daily toolkit, not experiments
10. Expert with Zapier, , or similar - you've built complex, multi-step workflows
11. Strong API skills - REST, webhooks, OAuth; you can read docs and integrate anything
12. Proficient in Python or JavaScript; can write clean, maintainable scripts
13. Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
