- Serves as a diagnosticradiological consultant tophysicians.
- Interprets all types of generalradiological examinations. Interprets and performs those requiringfluoroscopy, special procedures, angiography, ultrasound,radioisotopes, CT, and MRI scanning within thelimits of his/hertraining, experience, and clinical privileges, and with theapproval of the Chief ofRadiology.
- Participates in physicianconferences and rounds.
- Responsible to workwith the technologists and when appropriate to instruct thetechnologists in specialized views and positioning of patients whenunusual or difficult problemsarise.
- Participates in the Quality ImprovementProgram of the hospital to meet internationalstandards.
- Provides on-call emergencycoverage.
- Participates in the orientation ofnew technologists and new radiologist.
- Performsother miscellaneous related duties as requested by the ChiefRadiologist.
