Description

This position requires a highly skilled legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, real estate transactions, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation.

The VP of Legal Affairs will lead a team of legal experts and work closely with senior management to ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and drive the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Strategy and Leadership:
Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
Provide expert legal advice to senior management and department heads, contributing to informed decision-making.
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Real Estate and Property Transactions:
Oversee all legal aspects of real estate acquisitions, sales, leases, and development projects.
Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate agreements, including purchase agreements, joint ventures, and development contracts.
Ensure compliance with zoning laws, land use regulations, and other relevant legal requirements.

Corporate Governance and Compliance:
Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in all business operations.
Advise on corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder agreements, and company policies.
Establish and maintain effective compliance programs and internal controls.

Contract Negotiation and Management:
Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements.
Mitigate legal risks by identifying potential contractual issues and proposing solutions.

Litigation and Dispute Resolution:

Manage and oversee litigation matters, including coordinating with external counsel, reviewing legal filings, and representing the company's interests in court when necessary.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve disputes through negotiation or alternative dispute resolution methods.

Intellectual Property and Licensing:
Protect the company's intellectual property rights through trademark and copyright registrations, as well as monitoring and enforcing IP-related agreements.
Advise on technology licensing agreements and intellectual property strategy.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations affecting the real estate, hospitality, and industrial sectors.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure ongoing compliance with industry-specific regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Bar admission required.
Minimum of [X] years of legal experience, with a strong background in real estate law, corporate law, and contract negotiation.
Previous experience in the real estate, hospitality, or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and develop a legal team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Strong business acumen and the ability to align legal strategies with business goals.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex legal matters and making strategic decisions.

Salary:
AED30, AED40,000.00 per month
