We are now looking for Smart Plant PID Administrator to support projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.


Reports To
The SPPID Administrator reports to the Manager, Digitization.


Job Overview


As an SP P&ID Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting our engineering and design teams by maintaining and optimizing our Smartplant P&ID software and systems.

This position requires expertise in SP P&ID software, strong problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of engineering documentation processes.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage and maintain the SmartPlant P&ID software system, ensuring data integrity and system performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure the successful execution of P&ID projects.
  • Create and update P&ID symbols, templates, and standards to meet projectspecific requirements.
  • Assist in configuring and customizing SP P&ID software to align with project needs and standards.
  • Provide training and support to engineering and design personnel in the use of SmartPlant P&ID software.
  • Perform quality checks and reviews of P&ID drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to company and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SP P&ID software and provide technical support to endusers.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that P&ID documents are completed on time and in compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain and organize the P&ID database, including revision control and version management.
  • Support the creation and management of P&ID documentation for new and existing projects.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and clients on P&IDrelated matters when necessary.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and software updates related to P&ID design and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working with SP P&ID software.
  • Certification or training in SmartPlant P&ID is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Proficiency in SmartPlant P&ID software and related engineering design tools.
  • Strong understanding of P&ID standards and best practices.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of engineering and design principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other engineering software and databases is an advantage.
  • Working experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Team player, smartworking, problem solver and cando attitude
  • Fluent in English language, Arabic speaking is an added advantage.
