JOB PURPOSE
The role is to support the overall supply chain operations of the organization. Ensure the smooth flow of materials,
coordinate logistics activities,
track inventory,
and assist in managing supplier relationships.


Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently will contribute to the organization's effective supply chain management and customer satisfaction.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplier sourcing and selection:


  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers of products and materials.
  • Assist in conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability.

Purchase Order Processing:


  • Assist in the creation and processing of purchase orders for products and materials.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase order details, such as quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order receipt, acknowledge any changes, and resolve discrepancies.

Logistics Coordination:


  • Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including arranging shipments, scheduling deliveries, and tracking shipments.
  • Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse personnel to ensure ontime and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Communicate shipment status and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with the industry suppliers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods, resolve issues, and address any quality concerns.
  • Help evaluate supplier performance and maintain supplier performance metrics.

Data Analysis and Reporting:


  • Collect and analyse supply chain data and provide to the manager to identify trends, evaluate performance, and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in preparing regular reports on key supply chain metrics, such as inventory levels, order fulfillment, and delivery accuracy.
  • Support in generating actionable insights to optimize supply chain processes and enhance efficiency.

Process Improvement:


  • Identify process bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the supply chain and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with the crossfunctional teams team to implement process enhancements and best practices.
  • Participate in crossfunctional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain operations.

Inventory Management:


  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of products and materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as warehousing and sales, to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.

Cost Control and Budgeting:


  • Assist in analysing pricing trends and market conditions to identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on performance and productivity.
  • Teamwork with Sales: Receive and provide product information for accurate forecast plan and purchase

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics role within the lighting industry is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • 24 years of experience in the same role in the lighting materials industry

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent communication, organising and analytical abilities
  • Familiarity with lighting (LED) products, materials, and supply chain processes is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to work with data to generate insights.
  • Problemsolving abilities and the capacity to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics procedures is desirable.

Salary:
AED3, AED5,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Lighting industy work: 2 years (preferred)
  • Supply Chain Assistant / Procurement Assistant or similar: 3 years (required)
