Description
Main Responsibilities:

Administer, guide and mentor fellow solutions architects
Assess efforts, risks, costs, and complexity related to Systems Design.
Responsible for ensuring compliance and update to the solution architecture documentation frameworks to support Service Delivery
Provides coaching, develop skills and improve performance of peer solution architects and employees.
Applies knowledge of business and personal objectives to key players and get them personally committed to the success of the solution architecture initiatives
Exceptional verbal and written communication.
Work closely with the program management office (PMO) or project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised.
Solution Discovery, Design for the Defined Architectures for Groupwide Initiatives with scalable, cost effective and optimal technologies and solutions.
Number of impactful solution designs and technology choices made.
Successful Delivery of assigned initiatives and projects with pre-defined KPIs
Documented and up-to-date architecture repository of all as-is solutions across the group, including architecture decision logs.
Defined process and templates on architecture documentation (as-is), creation (new/to-be), and standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship on infrastructure topics, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Continuously identify and address infrastructure design issues.
Ensuring deployed solutions follow compliance thus establishing architecture governance, contributing to higher rate of technology implementations.
Must take initiatives to harmonize designs and solutions across the group.
Successful delivery of assigned projects.
Functional/Technical Competencies
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience of solutioning different Data Storage solutions including EMC, HP, PURESTORAGE etc.
Experience of solutioning Hyperconverged infrastructures such as Cisco UCS, Cisco Hyperflex etc.
Experience of solutioning public cloud environments such as AWS & AZURE.
Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions with an ability to delivery technical system solutions that meet business needs.
Excellent understanding of Systems & Infrastructure methodologies and relevant network architecture.
Networking competency, including
Expert knowledge of IP, Ethernet, routing and switching within LAN/WAN/Data Centre/Public Cloud Network environments.
Subject matter expert with solutioning experience on LAN/WAN, Wireless, Data Center and Spine & Leaf Networks, Firewalls, Routing Protocols, Network Management & Automation.
Expert Level Experience of Solutioning:
Software Defined Networks such as Cisco ACI, APIC, Multi Site Orchestrator, Network Assurance Engine
Security Products including Palo Alto Firewalls, FireEye, Cisco Fire Power, FortiGate, Meraki MX
Cloud Network Design with SD-WAN, Cloud Firewalls and F5/NGINX Load Balancers
Network Virtualization such as VRFs, MPLS-VPNs, VXLANs, Ethernet VPNs etc.
Solutioning NFV Products using VMWARE NSX etc.
Solutioning Routing Protocols including OSPF & BGP etc.
Network Management & Automation using Ansible,
Network Monitoring using Prometheus, Elastic Search, Grafana, Cisco Titration, SolarWinds
Experience of solutioning public cloud environments such as AZURE & AWS
Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions with an ability to delivery technical system solutions that meet business needs.
Excellent understanding of Systems & Infrastructure methodologies and relevant network architecture
Industry Standard Expert Certifications:
Industry Expert Certifications in Network & Security Infrastructure such as CCIE in Enterprise, Data Center or Security Discipline or
Industry Expert Certifications in Systems from VMWARE and Microsoft for Software Defined Data Centers or
Industry Expert Certifications in Cloud such as Amazon Web Services Solution Architect Professional and Microsoft Azure Architect Design. Additional Specialties in Cloud Network or Security are an added benefit.
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture such as TOGAF or COBIT are preferred but not required.
Minimum Qualifications/education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, system engineering or a related discipline.
