Role
IT Project Coordinators are an important part of MCN's IT project team.

You will work directly under the Head of Project Management Office to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

This position requires a lot of problem-solving and multitasking.

You will be coordinating multiple aspects of a project in a fast-paced and challenging work environment and communicating all the issues and risks of the project.

You will gain exposure to lots of different projects, software, departments and areas.


As a project coordinator, you will make sure that everyone is on the same page and speaking the same language.

Therefore, it is essential to have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Because you are responsible for making sure your part of the project stays on target, successful project coordinators are self-motivated, attentive, and always follow through.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Logging, tracking, managing and coordinating IT project requests
  • Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary
  • Evaluate potential problems and develop solutions
  • Designing and controlling the project charter, plan and schedule
  • Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track, ensuring deadlines, budget and scope are met
  • Looking for ways to increase the project's profitability and reduce expenses where possible
  • Preparing presentations to update senior management on the project's progress and showcase the project's value
  • Organizing and attending stakeholder meetings, such as sprint planning, dailies, backlog grooming, reviews or retros, and recording minutes
  • Providing administrative support, especially for change management documentation and stakeholder communications
  • Must undertake any duties given by the management team

  • Strong competency in IT and experience in implementing technology projects
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration or Computer Science (or related field)
Desirable

  • Oracle ERP skills are a clear plus
  • Familiarity with risk and quality assurance management
  • Experience with (agile) project management and tools, eg Microsoft Project
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and stepbystep action plans
  • PMP/PRINCE2/Six Sigma knowledge or certifications are a plus
