Job purpose:
Plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction and growth initiatives of the company on a global scale. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that drive competitive advantage, revenue growth, and operational excellence.
The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry & global market dynamics.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Develop and Drive Global Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of the company's global strategic plan in alignment with the overall corporate vision and goals.
- Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify strategic opportunities and threats.
- Define and prioritize strategic initiatives to drive sustainable growth and profitability across all WF business units.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and crossfunctional teams to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.
- Establish clear goals, timelines, and performance metrics to measure progress and success.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, making adjustments as needed to optimize outcomes.
Business Development and Market Expansion:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential acquisitions to expand the company's market presence and capabilities.
- Drive market entry strategies for new geographies or industry verticals, leveraging market research and competitive analysis.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.
Innovation and Disruption:
- Explore new business models, digital solutions, and process improvements to enhance customer value and operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning to drive innovation across the company.
Risk Management and Scenario Planning:
- Assess and mitigate strategic risks, including geopolitical, regulatory, and economic factors that may impact the company's performance.
- Conduct scenario planning exercises to anticipate potential future scenarios and develop contingency plans to respond effectively.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all strategic initiatives and business activities.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the strategy team, fostering a highperformance culture and professional development.
- Build a diverse and talented team capable of delivering strategic insights, analytical rigor, and innovative solutions.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Background and Experience:
Proven track record of leadership and strategic management experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.

- Deep understanding of global market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends affecting the freight forwarding business.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data and insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.
