Description

1. Preparing for Laboratory JCI / ISO 15189 Accreditation and Health Authority inspection.

Perform a spectrum of delegated responsibilities.
Investigating incidents and supervising the general laboratory workflow.
Monitor all work performed in the laboratory to determine that medically reliable data are being generated and correlate data for diagnosis and patient management.
Provide Continuing Medical Education and proficiency testing for laboratory staff.
Participate in Clinic wide quality program and be a member of Clinic records committee.
Reporting Hematology, Biochemistry and Clinical Pathology.
Monitors the internal and external quality control programs.
Conduct monthly review of quality control data.
Aids in the preparation and review of policies and procedures in providing services.
Provides consultation for the choice of test and medical significance of laboratory findings to the clinicians.
Co-ordinates the day to day and periodic maintenance of all machines in laboratory.
Perform final validation of reports before releasing to physician / Patients.
Participates in continuous quality improvement as and when required and ensures cost effectiveness of the services provided by the laboratory.
Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining policies & SOP's.
Responsible for maintaining quality control programs.
Responsible for recommending reference (contract) laboratory for AIC group.
Responsible for monitoring & reviewing all laboratory services within and outside the laboratory.
Any other work assigned by group Medical Director and Director Operations within the scope of the job.

Observe health and safety related signs, posters, warning signals and written directions.
Be familiar with the emergency plan, the emergency assembly area and emergency coordinators for their building and participate in emergency drills.
Learn about potential hazards associated with their work and work area; know where information on these hazards is kept for their review; and use this information when needed.
Follow safe operating procedures and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidance applicable to work performed, if the work involves hazardous materials.
Use personal protective equipment and engineering controls appropriate to their work.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Education :
MBBS/MD or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution and Completion of specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table

NLT 5 years clinical experience
