The Role
Perform a wide range of civilengineering tasks and supervise the construction works carried outby contractors and subcontractors. Work includes readingconstruction drawings and ensuring work is done according to them.


Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyse drawings blueprints anddata to plan projects.

Review the structural drawings specificationfollowing construction and government standards at each stage toensure completeness correctness compliance with the scope of workand agreed requirements.

Compute load and grade requirements waterflow rates and material stress factors to determine designspecifications. Inspect project sites to monitor progress andensure conformance to design specifications and safety orsanitation standards. Direct construction operations andmaintenance activities at project site. Direct or participate insurveying to lay out installations and establish reference pointsgrades and elevations to guide construction. Estimate quantitiesand cost of materials equipment or labour to determine projectfeasibility. Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy andstrength of foundations concrete or steel. Development andpresentation of engineering design solutions for conceptual outlinedetailed design and construction stage information. Preparation and/ or checking of feasibility studies and detailed design technicalreports and other written documents. Conduct site surveys fordevelopment of designs and review of construction work. Planningmonitoring and reporting of project resources and finances.
Monitoring of change control throughout design and constructionstages.
