    ANDRITZ has an immediate opportunity for an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer.

    The APC Engineer will work collaboratively with our project teams to deliver exceptional value through the optimization of our customers' industrial processes by design and application of various advanced automation, digitalization, and process control technologies, including:
    model predictive control, machine learning and data analytics, expert systems, digital twins, and dynamic process You Will Be DoingHere's an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:Evaluate operating processes to identify areas for potential improvementDesign APC solutions, including control strategies, and implement our technologies to optimize process performanceUse simulation with first principles models to validate and benchmark new control strategiesCollect and analyze engineering and operational plant data to build empirical dynamic process modelsConfigure and tune multivariable predictive controller loops parametersWork with control room operators and process and instrument engineers to complete commissioning and control response testsProvide commissioning and start-up support for the completed optimization applicationsSet up and execute controller simulation and acceptance testing for large scope optimization projectsWhat We're Looking ForWhen selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechatronics, computer, chemical, engineering physics, or mining engineeringMinimum of five (5) years' experience in automation design, configuration, PLC programming, control system configuration, and troubleshooting and/or advanced process controlExperience in the mining/mineral processing industry an assetResourceful, self-managed, and goal driven, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsLegally authorized to work in Saudi ArabiaAbility and willingness to travel to domestic and international locations is a mustLanguage & Location RequirementsFluency in English is requiredArabic language skills are a strong assetPosition may be based in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia or Dubai, UAEOther valued, but non-essential skills, abilities, and experience include:Knowledge of predictive control theory and experience with an industrial APC platformSimulation of industrial processesProficiency with Python, R, and SQLInstrumentation and electrical troubleshootingCommissioning, construction, and start-up experience
