    Job Description

    Overall responsibilities:

    • Working as multi-discipline Lead on assigned project, specifically for electrical, instrumentation and control systems but not limited to mechanical, piping, and civil / structural.
    • Supervise and monitor the performance of Engineering consultant, review & comment Engineering consultant deliverables, oversee and coordinate with internal team, and client personnel for submission of engineering deliverables, coordinate and resolve technical issues Provide guidance and direction to other multi-disciplinary team members for assigned project.
    • Assure compliance with engineering procedures and quality control & HSE standards.
    • Supporting construction and commissioning activities after completion of engineering and close outs.

    Day to day responsibilities:

    • Lead and supervise performance of engineering consultant for all disciplines and pre-dominantly for electrical, instrumentation and control including general execution, management of engineering schedule / key engineering milestones, budget, and engineering progress.
    • Assist project team with establishment of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Participate in site visits as required for site surveying and gathering data and important information required to engineering team for detailed design.
    • Participate in development of estimates for engineering works and reviews.
    • Interface with various engineering disciplines and suppliers.
    • Prepare Elec, I&C Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations as required. Review Vendor Documents.
    • Participates in project audits (quality and technical).
    • Participate in Hazop, LOPA, and SIL review and assures compliance with project engineering procedures and quality control and HSE standards.
    • Project Execution may include but not limited to:
      • Specifying, selecting and sizing field instrumentation (Pres/Temp/Flow/Level), Control Valves, on/off valves, relief valves and control devices
      • Prepare and review control deliverables such as Control Philosophy, Control Narrative, Cause and Effect diagram, and Control system architecture.
      • Preparing and reviewing I/O lists and assignments
      • Selection and procurement of controls hardware, communications, and network systems
      • Preparing and checking Instrument Loop diagrams as well as System cabinet design / wiring
      • Responsible for performing squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.
      • Providing input to P&ID's
      • Design, development, and technical content of the Elec, I&C portion of project work
      • Have frequent contact with vendors, and internal staff
      • Plan, coordinate and prepare Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, and award recommendations for various equipment with all disciplines.
    Qualifications
    • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation) with (15 Years minimum) in the Oil & Gas industry. Affinity and familiar with Engineering, Procurement and Contracting aspects in the business, both onshore and offshore.
    Additional Information

    Experience Requirements:

    • Experience level: 15 years
    • 10 years or more experience UAE or Middle East
    • Minimum 05 years as Lead Engineer on medium to large scale projects in similar business or industry
    • Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and regulations used in Middle East.
    • HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams

    Skills & Professional Requirements:

    • Proven project management experience as well as a good understanding of business issues.
    • Good level of experience in the related field, industry, and locations of the work in UAE with ADNOC Group.
    • Have worked as a Lead Engineer (Engineering) on the electrical & instrumentation projects.
    • Experience working on ADNOC brownfield projects is preferred.
    • Brownfield experience in replacement of switchgears in oil and gas industry.
    • Experience in the use of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI/In tools) is an asset.
    • Good knowledge and experience in project monitoring and forecasting
    • Ability to manage change control process on project with subcontractors and interfaces (if any).
    • In-depth knowledge of all types of project information (deliverables) and its uses and capable of managing information management project team
    • Good knowledge of all handover and close-out activities required for client, and suppliers.
