Responsibilities:


  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials, including furniture pieces.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on furniture to identify and address issues such as scratches, dents, and loose joints.
  • Repair or replace damaged furniture components, including legs, arms, backs, and cushions, using hand and power tools.
  • Sand, stain, and refinish furniture surfaces to restore their appearance and extend their lifespan.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their furniture maintenance needs and preferences and provide recommendations accordingly.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, services provided, and hours worked.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a focus on furniture maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and routers.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
