Smallcommunity hospital near Des Moines, IA is seeking a full-time,permanent Medical LaboratoryTechnician or Medical Technologistto join their team Excellent culture andgreatstability
MT/MLT

• Obtains,labels and delivers laboratory specimens in accordance withuniversal precaution
  
• Prioritizes,performs and reports results of laboratory tests within establishedtime frames and
  
• Recognizes factorsthat affect measurements and results and takes appropriate actionaccording to predetermined
  
• Performsand documents troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, qualitycontrol, proficiency testing, calibrations and problem-solvingactivities, to meet regulatory
  
• Recognizes abnormal results andrefers them to the appropriate
  

Shifts

• Monday-Friday1:00pm-9:30pm
  

Qualificationsof Medical Laboratory Technician/MedicalTechnologist

• MLTor MT degree from an accredited school, ASCP, NCA, or equivalentcertification
  
• 2 years of generalclinical laboratory experience,
  
• MLTor MT/MLS degree from an accredited program with ASCP, NCA orequivalent certification within 1 year of
  
• Skills to performphlebotomy
