    We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Part Time Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure daily targets are met consistently by providing excellent customer service and promoting products effectively.
    • Greet customers and engage with them to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of merchandise and provide clear explanations to customers regarding fabric care instructions and product features.
    • Recommend and locate merchandise that meets customers' needs and desires.
    • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit payments, and exchanges.
    • Provide information about store policies, promotions, and security practices to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
    • Maintain accurate records related to sales and stock inventory.
    • Demonstrate the use or operation of merchandise to customers.
    • Place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
    • Maintain a neat and organized store environment, ensuring folded merchandise is arranged correctly and shelves are clean and tidy.
    • Recognize and report any security risks or thefts, and take necessary steps to prevent or handle these situations.
    • Inventory stock and requisition new stock as needed.
    • Energize displays and promote sales by arranging merchandise attractively and pricing it correctly.
    • Exchange merchandise for customers and process returns efficiently.
    • Clean shelves, counters, and showroom windows, and maintain a spotless floor.
    • Regularly clear fitting rooms to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
    • Assist customers in trying on or fitting merchandise.
    • Broaden the customer base by adding new customers to the mailing list.
    • Sell or arrange delivery, insurance, financing, or service contracts for merchandise.
    • Estimate trade-in allowances and provide quotes to customers.
    • Manage cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
    • Estimate quantity and cost of merchandise required for projects like painting or flooring.
    • Bag or package purchases, and wrap gifts for customers.
    • Estimate the cost of repair or alteration of merchandise.
    • Implement security measures to prevent theft and understand procedures for handling shoplifters.
