Overview

A leading global communications consultancy is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join its Energy & Industrials communications team in the UAE.

This role is ideal for a communications professional with strong experience across energy, industrials, sustainability, or related sectors, who enjoys working at the intersection of reputation, strategy, and storytelling.

Role

You'll lead day-to-day delivery across high-profile client accounts, provide trusted counsel, and help shape integrated corporate communications programmes that support business objectives.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a key role in developing narratives, managing media engagement, and mentoring junior team members within a fast-paced agency environment.

Key responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of Energy, Industrials, and Sustainability clients, ensuring high standards of delivery, timelines, and budget control
Support the development and execution of integrated corporate and B2B communications strategies
Provide calm, informed counsel on reputation management, issues, and crisis communications
Lead the creation and placement of thought leadership content, including executive profiling, op-eds, articles, and reports
Oversee proactive and reactive media relations, building strong relationships with key journalists
Mentor and manage junior team members, ensuring quality and consistency across outputs
Contribute to new business development, supporting strategic and creative proposals
Stay informed on industry developments and emerging issues impacting clients
About you
5+ years' experience in communications and media relations
Sector exposure across energy, industrials, renewables, sustainability, or technology
Experience operating at Senior Account Manager level (or strong Account Manager ready to step up), ideally in an agency setting
Proven ability to deliver complex corporate and B2B communications programmes
Strong client-handling and issues management skills
Excellent media relations credentials and thought leadership experience
Confident people leader with strong organisational and mentoring skills
Arabic & English bilingual skills are a strong advantage
