    Overview: Theopportunity
    The Manager of Technology Operations supports the Senior Manager ofTechnology Operations in designing controlling and managing thetechnical processes and operational integrity of the organisationscloud platform. They also oversee and coordinate the dayto dayoperations of the team ensuring the team meets its shortterm goals.
    Reportingto the Director of Technology Operations this position will assistin maintaining and managing the subset of cloud service environmentincluding software deployment and upgrades system setupadministration monitoring and configuration disaster recovery androutine update of services. Anotherimportant aspect of this position is supporting the operations andevolution of innovative newage cloud solutions at Core42 one of theUAEs fastest growing hightech AIcentric organisations.

Responsibilities: People Management
    • Assist the senior management ofTechnology Operations with setting the overall direction of theteam providing leadership mentoring and coaching directreports.
    • Support the senior management ofTechnology Operations with establishing and communicatingperformance standards ensuring that the teams and individual KPIsfor the L2 Operations team are in line with department businessunit and Core42 strategic goals.
    • Oversee theperformance of the L2 Operations team provide direction andguidance to the employees on achieving the teamsobjectives.
    • Engage with senior management ofTechnology Operations to identify opportunities to improve theteams performance.
    • Provide constructivefeedback to direct reports and provide inputs to senior managementof Technology Operations on performance of employees and areasrequiring focus.
    • Coach & develop theteam to achieve theirpotential.

    Functional
    • Support seniormanagement with overseeing the functioning of cloud network dataplatform and technical offerings.
    • Incollaboration with the Technology Engineering department supportthe department with the roll out new features to improve customersuccess across the Core42 platform.
    • Identifyinfrastructure dependencies integrations data flows and InfoSecrequirements to plan and drive these dependencies at various stagesof project.
    • Support the Senior Manager ofTechnology Operations with managing the report of infrastructureincidents and follow standard procedures for the escalation ofunresolved issues to the appropriatestakeholders.
    • Assist in monitoring the changemanagement incident management and problem management processesvisvis response time quality productivity and tickethandling.
    • Collaborate with informationsecurity and operations team to identify and implement cloudplatform gaps.
    • Support in the process ofidentifying sections technologyrelated needs that helps driveautomation within the section and direct line ofwork.
    • Apply analytical research andproblemsolving skills across various systems and situationsincluding those that may be unfamiliar to address critical issuesin line with Core42s code of ethics policies andprocedures.
    • Work closely with the productowners and managers to ensure that systems are productionready.
    • Provide input towards budgetpreparation for the section to the Senior Manager of TechnologyOperations.

    Organisational
    Governance
    • Maintain awareness and adherenceto the department/sections policies andprocedures.
    • Ensure compliance of the team tothe guidelines defined by division/departments such as HR legalrisk and quality assurance in addition to Core42s framework andDoA.
    • Participate in the periodic audit ofestablished policies andprocedures.

    Management Reporting
    • Contribute tothe development of periodic reports as requested by the departmenthead.
    • Propose and recommend remedialactivities to manage any quality or noncompliance issues that ariseduring the review of periodicreports.

    Personal Professional Development
    • Proactively identify and seek professional developmentopportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertainingto the direct line of work and in line with Core42svalues/behaviors.
    • Engage in the performanceappraisal process and reflect on the feedback and recommendationsprovided by the line manager for development.
    Qualifications: To qualify for the role youmust have
    • A successfulrecord of leading and cultivating a motivated and positive teamculture along with a commitment to continuous improvement withinTechnology Operations (highly desirable).
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information TechnologyInformation Systems or equivalent field.
    • Minimum 10 years experience in a technical support engineering oroperations environment along with a proactive problemsolvingmindset.
    • Minimum 4 years managing andparticipating in largescale technical projects within coreinfrastructure including networking storage andcomputing.
    • Ability to make decisions underpressure manage resources efficiently and adapt to evolvingtechnologies and industry trends are keyattributes.
    • More than 2 years of experience inmanaging system engineering teams.
    • Indepthdomain knowledge of cloud and broad scope of IT infrastructuretechnologies.
