MATERIAL COORDINATOR
Reports to :
Sr. Operations Manager (Aluminum) / Factory Manager
Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the end-to-end material supply chain, ensuring efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of materials for manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Material Procurement:
- Source and procure raw materials, specifically aluminum and glass, in accordance with production requirements and quality standards.
- Establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
Quality Control:
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that incoming materials meet specified standards.
- Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Coordinate the transportation of materials from suppliers to manufacturing facilities, optimizing cost and delivery times.
- Track shipments, handle customs documentation, and resolve any transportationrelated issues.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of material transactions, including receipts, shipments, and returns.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and supplier performance.
Cost Management:
- Work with the finance department to monitor and control material costs within budgetary constraints.
- Identify costsaving opportunities without compromising quality.
Collaboration with Production Teams:
- Collaborate with production planners to ensure a seamless flow of materials to meet manufacturing schedules.
- Communicate any potential delays or shortages to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in material coordination, specifically within the aluminum and glass industry.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and supply chain management principles.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Proficient in using inventory management software.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
